Message | Mr. Speaker, We'd like to once again draw attention to the fact that such a bill would be an attempt to amend the constitution (in this case the part that deals with the Hosiaism as Lodamun's state religion: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=608821) and as such would, again, require 2/3rds of the Chamber of People's deputies to support it. It would also make it easier for everyone involved if the attempts to amend the constitution are specifically brought up as such in the descriptions of bills. "As this bill amends the constitution, it will require 2/3 of the legislature to pass," is how, I think, it's usually worded. Gobrön hog Ümber-Lauda, EAPP Technical Secretary in Culinary Matters |

Message | Mr. Speaker, As much as we like to follow Laws, this is clearly an attempt to Paralyse any Change Happening in Lodamun and to stop any try to get rif of this imposed encrusted Status-Quo. Frankly this is just undemocratical, and as already said we wont follow these dictatorial principles. Calvin Christians DSP Secretary for Internal Affairs |

Message | Mr. Speaker, LR will support this bill, to make a statement. Sandra Neefs LR |

Message | Mr. Speaker, While the EAPP Secretary is correct about changing constitutional laws needing 2/3rds support, we can always introduce a bill to flat-out abolish the law they referenced to get rid of the constitutional protection before attempting to reinstate true Freedom of Religion. Like treaty withdrawals, flat-out abolishing any specific law only needs a simple majority.(OOC: Section 6 Article 5e of the Game Rules) Cameron Mideen, GPP Leader |
