Bill: OOC - POSSIBLE RP: Fusion Power and the Tam Family
Details
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 4649
Description[?]:
Since its kinda been established at this point that the Tam Family is very wealthy/well connected (to the point of being able to form the backbone of the NLP's funding), and seeing the recent passing of a bill guaranteeing subsidies for fusion power, I thought that maybe a part of the Tam Family's holdings could be the major pioneers in fusion power. This might be able to start a new RP, allow us to establish Gaduridos as a strong power internationally, etc. Any thoughts or suggestions? |

Message | To add, the Left could use this to renew their attacks on the influence of the Tam Family, while the Right could use scientific progress and the need for energy independence to justify this. Mavericks on both sides could swap opinions, etc |

Message | In addition to our own scientists, would we hire any international researchers, especially from countries who have already attempted fusion research? (I don't know if anyone has done that before) |

Message | We could have multiple projects running simultaneously - the Tam Family one could be a public-private partnership (they'll probably want to use researchers from the business front that they have working relationships compared to the govt, which cares less about things like that), while the government subsidizes its own initiatives as well with international researchers - not sure if anyone else has attempted fusion power yet though. Also - to other players, is there any consensus on whether this RP should go ahead? A project as large as this would probably cross election cycles, so I don't want to step on anyone's toes regarding RP. |
