Bill: Law Enforcement Reorganization Act (4654)
Details
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 4655
Description[?]:
The police force of the nation is currently entirely centralized. It is obvious, however, that many criminal inquiries, not to mention maintenance of order at most public events, are matters that are best handled on a local level. The government therefore proposes that local police departments be set up, and that the role of the national police be limited to coordination of inter-provincial efforts and inquiries on a national level, as well as border security. |

Message | We disagree, if left to local governments the forces could be left ill equipped or underprepared for situations. We think that a centralized approach guarantees higher efficiency and greater effectiveness. |
