Description[?]:
Yingdala (Indrala) has largely been governed by a monarchy since the 2900s. Additionally, these governments have largely been influenced by Jienism, Yingdala’s primary religion/philosophy. Jienism ultimately states that a monarchy is necessary for society to be virtuous, as the Son of Heaven’s (monarch) noble example will filter down to the people. Yingdalan Jienist monarchies have typically moved from a stereotypical constitutional monarchy to a more active monarchy. Oftentimes the monarchy would be somewhere in between these two extremes. Furthermore, this type of monarchy allows dynastic change, meaning a single family often does not rule for more than a few hundred years before losing the Mandate of Heaven. The new family is assumed to hold Heaven’s Mandate. However, all ruling families claim to be descended from the original, semi-mythical Yu ruling clan. Given this history and uniqueness, these political protocols mandate that Yingdala be a constitutional monarchy. |

Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation. |
