MessageCouples should be able to achieve a property together. Also the surviving partner should be able to heredit this property. That's important to all couples, even homo couples.
We don't understand the position of the S-CP. Isn't social security a core item for the S-CP ??
Stable relationships make it easier to acquire property and private property for all is the best guarantee for social security , without financial cost for the state.
As a result the state can keep taxes low and people are more motivated to work.
As around 8% of all couples are homo couples, it s quite possible our GDP can raise a few % by voting yes.

MessageMarriage is a religious thing, We have no problem if the individuals, homsexuals or whatever wish to have the legal aspects of a marriage into their... relationsship, but we are against forcing the faith to such steps (OOC: anyone seen South park about this issue ? :D ;)) So we are opposed to this.

MessageWe oppose this bill as well. Marriage is between one man and one woman. That's it.

MessageCivil marriage has the word "Marriage" in it, does it not. So it does not matter if you call it civil or not, marriage is between man and woman. Not man man etc

MessageWe are talking c o n t r a c t s. Civil marriage c on t r a c t s.
The S-C P, the RP and the PP are reacting emotionally.
Couples demand the legal framework to acquire property and to inherit property.
They also wish to stabilize their relation.
We see no reason at all that oppose these wishes.

MessageWe are still talking about Marriage here Atlas. No matter how you try to spin it, that is precisely what we are discussing.

"Government's Policy TOWARDS MARRAIGE"

Yep. Seems like we are talking about marriages after all.

MessageAnd someo of us have not used religion at all. I know I haven't. All I said was that we oppose the measure. We oppose because Marriage should be between one man and one woman as well.

Random fact: RP laws follow the same passing rules as in-game variable laws. Laws that are not of a constitutional nature require a simple majority "Yes" vote from active parties currently holding seats. Laws that are of a constitutional nature require a 2/3 majority "Yes" vote from active parties currently holding seats. RP laws may be abolished a simple majority vote this applies to ANY RP law.
