Voting deadline: February 2212
Description[?]:
In order to guarantee the continued high ecological position of the Republic the Government will re-introduce measures to guarantee the cleanliness and overall health of the Hobrazian ecological sector. In order to accomplish these aims the Government will; 1. Regulate the trade in exotic animals. Whilst accepting it is the right of the individual to choose the type of pet they may wish to own, it must be acknoleged that certain "exotic" animals either struggle, or are otherwise averse, to the Hobrazian climate. In order to reduce harm coming to these animals the Government will enact regulations in the trade of these animals. 2. Re-introduce moderate pollution restrictions. These restrictions will be set at a level so as not to adversly harm the competitiveness of Hobrazian industry whislt guaranteeing that the overall harm to the environment is kept at a minimum. 3. Allow only for the use of environmentally fuelled vehicles. Current technology allows for pollution free vehicles. Though the cost of purchase is moderately higher (approx 10%) overall running costs are lower. There is also the guaranteed improvement in the environment which allows for an improved natural climate, whilst also reducing the risks and costs to public health (which in turn reduces the costs to the NHS). The allowance of these cleaner vehicles also places Hobrazian automotive industries at the fore front of vehicle technologies, which can only be advantagous to business, whilst also continuing to drive down the costs of purchase and production. 4. In order to safe guard both the ecological balance of the Country, whilst also guaranteeing the survival of the Hobrazian logging industry into the future, the Government will enact legislation to force logging companies to replant to the same level as they use. 5. Recycling of those goods that can be reconstituted will be enforced for the population as a whole. Whilst accepting that, overall, business produces the majority of dangerous waste the citizenry as a whole produces tonnes of waste per day. In order to reduce the size of waste "tips" all waste that can will be recycled. In order to facilitate this, the Government will provide all households with a large green "bin" into which all recyclable produce will be placed. This will be removed as per standard waste disposal vehicles and transported to recycing centres where the waste can be seperated and prepared for recycling. The above legislation will not only be of advantage to the Country as a whole as part of guaranteeing the ecological survival of the Republic, but also allowing for further increases in the tourist trade as people will be able to see, in the wild, the myriad of animal and plant life the Country has to offer. |
