MessageMr. Speaker,

Although we’re, of course, in awe of the ambition and enthusiasm our would-be colleagues have decided to start their immensely reactionary political careers with, we’d like to direct their attention to the Lodamese Constitution which, among other things, defines the nature of justice in Lodamun. It’s usually thought more practical to at first change the relevant parts of the Constitution before constructing reactionary legislative attempts to drag Lodamun back to the 45th century.

MessageMr. Speaker,

We agree with the proposals of this legislation and will vote in favor. I should bring up that the Shaman-Secretary has a point. The justice article in this bill, while we wholeheartedly agree with it, cannot be properly executed due to an amendment in the Lodamese Constitution that nullifies court systems and gives the Prince-President complete authority on matters of justice.(http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=608814)
We could still pass this bill as it is, but that particular article might not have much power to it until we abolish this amendment. (OOC: Game rules say game mechanics always prioritize over rp bills, which is why I say it can still be passed, but I believe it would be symbolic at best on the rp side of things with that amendment in place)

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election.
