Bill: Ending the homogenous titles of Mordusian Politics.

Details

Submitted by[?]: National Thomasian Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 2214

Description[?]:

To be honest what person is going to be inspired on hearing the words Assembly or Chancellor? The official title of a government member or body give real weight to the power they hold. The current titles of Mordusian political institutions are rather plain and in our opinion only good enough for a shortened description of the office holder. Some grander titles, as we have said before, can promote national pride and may even help tourism.

Oh and also ending the possiblity of having a king who is a woman by making it a more gender neutral monarch.

MessageFrankly, NT, I dont give a damn whether the title of the Hog, Hos and Assembly will bring more tourists. The Titles of the Lord High Chancellor and the most Majestic are ridiculous and make mordusia look like a circus.

If I was a tourist and had a choice of two nations my decisve factor would not be what they call their Hog, their Hos and thier assembly.

If you want to get more tourism reform the nation so that tourists will come. I think you should have words witrh the culture minister before asking us to sign bills to change our nations titles to silly names.

MessageWe support the idea of giving the monarch a gender neutral designation, but it might be prudent to propose less radical changes. What's wrong with just "monarch"?

MessageThese titles are not silly! They give proper respect to the office holders rather than given them a grey title. Chancellor is fine for an informal title but we really nead to inject some pomp and circumstance into Mordusian politics. That is the sort of thing people like, the sort of thing that makes people proud about their country and government instead of seeing it as another faceless beaurocracy.

Messagejust realised that Lord high chancellor would be gender specific so we're changing that.

MessageThe Reichschancellor is to stress the fact that the prime minister is the democraticaly elected official for the whole country.

The Popular Monarch is to stress that our monarchy is a democraticaly elected one.

National Assembly is again to stress the unity of Mordusia.
