| This is a modified Bill The previous Bill proposed that all stem cell research should be made legal.In order to obtain support for at least one step in the right direction, this Bill proposes to allow stem cell research only with adult stem cells. The reasoning remains the same, viz: Stem cell research is achieving remarkable breakthroughs across Terra. However, the general consensus amongst world scientists is that only the tip of the iceberg has been seen to date. Why should not our nation's eminent scientists involve themselves in this exciting field which promises to find efficient and harmless solutions to many medical problems which would benefit our citizens? Or why should we force scientists to go abroad to pursue their desire to contribute to the world benefit of Terra citizens? |
