Message | We are not sure what you meant with the title, as your bill seems to be about making people pay more money. |
Date | 00:29:33, April 09, 2006 CET | From | New Theta | To | Debating the Healthcare is about Health, not Money! |
Message | Government should not be putting money into drug research the results of which can be manipulated by the pharmaceutical companies to support any outcome they desire. |

Message | The title of this bill is totally misrepresentative of the articles contained within. If this bill is passed, healthcare will become an even more money-oriented issue for our citizens, especially our nation's poor. |

Message | Not at all as it quite clealrly states that government will still regulate prices, low if necessary. This bill prevents further control and corporate power by those greedy drug companies who mislead the public as to the efficacy of their drugs, use ghost-writers to promote them (sales reps who write a puff-piece "medical" article, who then pay off a doctor to use their name), fraudulent claims and abusive marketing schemes, huge "donations" to political parties (i see now why you are so keen to oppose this bill!!) all in the name of "healthcare". pfftf. Capitalist pigs of the worst kind! |

Message | This proposal will not work. If you want the companies to fund their own research, they have to have the freedom to charge what they want. Otherwise it will not be financially attractive to them to bother finding new drugs. Since allowing drug companies to charge what they want will mean higher prices for our public that is not an attractive option. We must continue to fund research and subsidise drugs, our Health Service must remain affardable. |

Message | For valid medical drugs we should regulate pricing so they are accessible to all. For psychiatric drugs that have no validity in medicine (especially when research shows that a placebo is more effective!) then they are free to charge what they want. But we will not be throwing government money on research on these abusive drugs. |
