MessageIn the light of he government's several Bills regarding withdrawal from treaties, it has asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs to re-evaluate all of the Republic's existing ratifications.

It appears that there are a number of treaties expressing mutual agreement between ourselves the other nations of Terra, but where we are the only ratifiers of the treaty and the other parties to the treaty are noticeable by their absence.

It is therefore proposed to regard these treaties as defunct, and this Bill seeks to remove them from our body of legislature for the sake of clarity.

MessageThere may be other existing treaties which might need to be re-examined in detail to confirm that we are happy to continue to ratify them, but this will not be undertaken in a hurried manner.

It is felt that the treaties included in this Bill are the ones to address first, as there would appear to be absolutely no case for retaining them.

Random fact: Particracy does not allow official national flags of real-life nations or flags which are very prominent and recognisable (eg. the flags of the European Union, the United Nations, Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union or the Confederate States of America).
