Bill: Budget Compromise of 4724

Details

Submitted by[?]: Lodamese Democratic Progressive Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 4725

Description[?]:

The Green Progressive Party of Lodamun propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the 1st Princely Republic of Lodamun.

A revision of the previous proposal, compromising with the PLUP's proposal to not touch the Defense budget while allocating the overall budget to sectors we believe is more necessary. The overall spending amount will not change under this package.

Also recognizing the Head Secretary of the Princely Bureau's concern on the hasty tax cuts as well as the fact said tax cuts will fail to pass, the GPP will refrain from pursuing tax cuts for now. We will pursue this issue at a later date and in a more gradual manner so the economy can adjust.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Although our foreign-financed Green colleagues are adamant in wasting billions on such nonsense as *books*, they've clearly followed our advice and now at least attempt to respect the Lodamese enough to not act like pure fantasy villains.
Good for them.

Third Secretary in the (totally not defunct) Agricultural Council of the Princely Bureau

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining.
