Bill: Treaty Rationalisation (Aloria) Bill 4725

Details

Submitted by[?]: Beluzia Renewal Party (BRP)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes the withdrawal from a treaty. It will require half of the legislature to vote in favor[?]. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 4726

Description[?]:

The government proposes to withdraw from the Worldwide Treaty of Friendship with Aloria:

The government was hesitant in introducing this Bill given that Aloria are geographically one of our closest neighbours.
The BRP is conscious of the need to maintain unity and harmony amongst the member nations of our continent.

However, it is felt that the withdrawal from this treaty would not cause offence as Aloria currently has no government.

From the Belizoan point of view, we would not give any consideration to withdrawing from the treaty if the majority of countries in our continent were signed up to the treaty. However, only one other Artanian nation has ratified the treaty (Malivia) so after our proposed withdrawal we will be in no different a position in relation to Aloria than the vast majority of our neighbours.
