Bill: The Reduction of Energy Cost

Details

Submitted by[?]: Conservative Republican Federalists

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 2214

Description[?]:

This bill is to reduce the cost of energy that is passed on to consumers. As long as the government has a monopoly on energy supply it can charge the consumer whatever it deems appropriate since it has no competition. Energy supply should be the responsibility of the private sector and not the government. Competition among suppliers is the key to lowering prices. That is impossible if the government is the sole provider.
