Bill: Election Reform
Details
Submitted by[?]: Christian Democrats
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 2214
Description[?]:
"The Grand Duchy of Keymon often sees political movements fizzle because elections are far and few between. While this has made the duchy stable politically, it also has limited the ability of people to express themselves politically compared to people in other countries. Our party has been the beneficiary of this, but we are not dictators and want to make our country more democratic. We therefore propose reducing the maximum time a party can go without elections to four years." -- Director General Lord Antonio Keymon |

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play". |
Random quote: "I think the environment should be put in the category of our national security. Defense of our resources is just as important as defense abroad. Otherwise, what is there to defend?" - Robert Redford |
