Old value:: Campaigns are never publicly financed.
Current: Candidates that accept public funds cannot accept donations.
Proposed: All candidates receive public funds, and can still accept donations.
Article 2
Proposal[?] to change Closed shops are places of employment where only members of a specific union are allowed to work; union shops can hire non-members, but these have to become members after a certain time; agency shops can hire non-members, who have to pay a fee to cover the unions costs. All three are erected by union agreements. (Only valid if unions are legal)

Message | The SEP would support Articles 3 (Corporate Tax) and 4 (Negotiable Work Hours). We do not support Articles 1 (Campaign Funding) or 5 (Phone subsidization). We also disagree with Article 2 (Closed shops, etc) as we believe all shops should be open, without forcing people into unions or paying a waiver fee. Emma Dickson, SEP Leader. |
