Bill: On the Road to Andalay: Princely Correction to the "Abortion bill"
Details
Submitted by[?]: Prince-Republican League - New EAPP
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 4738
Description[?]:
"March me somewheres' west of Lodville where the best is like the worst, Where there aren't no ox oblations an' a man can raise a thirst; For the temple-bells are callin', an' it's there that I would be By the old Orean harbour, looking lazy at the sea; On the road to Andalay, Where the old St. Martin lay, With our sick thrown in the wagons when we went to Andalay! O the road to Andalay, Where the flyin'-fishes play, An' the dawn comes up like thunder outer Keris 'crost the Bay!" Those words echo through the Southern halls as His Serene Augustness the [still very uncrowned] Prince-President prepares for his march North. One of the first steps on this long road, however, would become his very public promise to show the PA delegates what "a real pro-abortion, pro-death, anti-natalist policy should look like". And, if nothing else, all sides can probably agree that the legislative package does resemble the policies carried out during the high water mark of Princely power. |

Message | Mr Speaker, we the representatives of PA are deeply disgusted by the proposal of EAPP. No, we are not pro-death. We are pro-choice, pro-euthanasia, pro-surrogacy. But none of these as mandatory actions! No, these actions should be options to the people and the people should be able to "go this way" if they want to. Valentim de Barr Chariman of PA |

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature. |
