MessageOnce again we are not ready to sign a treaty which includes the sale and trade of something as harmful to the enviornment as oil.

MessageDeputy Topal,

Let me remind you of two important facts.

First, our economy is based around the oil and gas sector. Many thousands of people's lives rely on this industry to make a living and I personally would rather that Jakanians were doing those jobs than some other foreign country. The world needs oil whether we choose to produce it or not.

Second, this nonsense narrative being pushed about oil that it is bad for the environment is nothing but anti-Jakanian propaganda. Please educate yourself on the topic of climate change. The main cause is coal and what is the most widely available substitute to coal, oil. By producing oil, we're reducing the usage of coal and helping the environment. Please stop framing your opposition as motivated by green concerns.

Minister of Industry

MessageDeputies,

Once again we see the socialists putting their dogmatic adherence to a foreign ideology before the interests of the Jakanian working class. Once again, we see the socialists kowtowing to those who want to see our oil locked in the ground, while autocratic regimes around the world hold a monopoly over the oil market.

Yes, let's get the world off coal as the Honourable Minister says. However, while Umut prefers to kneecap their own country, we should consider where the majority of the world's oil is produced; it's not in beautiful Jakania, in large part due to our socialist colleagues. Rather, it's under dictatorial regimes which have little or no environmental or labour oversights. Umut wants to talk about the harm of Jakanian exports. Fine. But what about the condition of workers in these other countries? What about the environmental degradation caused by irresponsible oil producers abroad?

Obviously, the socialists don't care about these questions; their primary concern, and the very reason for their existence, is to increase the reliance of the people on welfare transfers. Vote for growth once in a while! Believe in the hardworking men and women of Jakania!

Honourable Deputies, my friends, can we not all agree that Umut has, at every single possible turn, opposed the working people of this country? When will they give their heads a shake? Stand up for the people who sent you here, you bastards! We don't want to see our children starving anymore! We don't have time for this silly ideological bickering!

The Right Honourable Mr. Baran Batuk,
Premier of the Republic of Jakania
Birlik

MessageResponse to the Alliance:
We understand that the production of oil is a big part of the Jakanian economy. By using other methods like renewable energy we would create new jobs and oy would be good for both the enviornment and the economy. The people who need longer time to find a new job should be supported by the Government and our welfare state.

As for your comment on oil not being a factor on climate change: it is true that the number one factor of climate change is coal, but it is not true that oil is not hurtful to the enviornment. A reliable government has to fight to eradicate both.

MessageResponse to Birlik:
First of all we would like Mr. Batuk to apologize for calling us Bastards as that is definitely no language wanted in our assembly.

As we said by increasing the renewable energy new jobs will be avaliable for the working class of Jakania. By only using renewable energies we will not have to rely on or support autocratic regimes. Also being a democravy makes us better than autocratic regimes but does not legitimize our oil usage. The working conditions in other countries especially autocratic ones are often very bad and we deeply condem this. However, wether we produce more less or no oil at all will not improve these working conditions, they are in no way in our hands. The same applies for enviormental policies.

Umut is the party that always takes the side of the Jakanian workers and the lower class, maybe even the only party in Jakania that does so.

MessageDeputy Topal,

Your argument is self-defeating. If renewable energy is so much better for the country then why can't it compete with oil without the government intervening. Anybody who has worked in the energy understands the problem with renewable sources, they cannot meet demand properly. When I get home from work in the evening and switch on the light in my living room, I need that power now regardless of whether it is windy or sunny.

Like Umut we are committed to mitigating the impacts of climate change but this does not mean that we should deny reality in order to do so.

MessageMr.Bayram,

If the current government would invest more in renewable energies they would be abled to easily meet the demands. And you do realise that energy can be stored .

You you say you do not want to deny reality. The reality is that our earth is dying and it is on you to do something about it.

MessageThe Right Honourable Premier of the Republic will never, ever, ever apologize for standing with Jakanian workers over the effete efforts of socialists to keep them out of work and reliant on the government. Every single Umut deputy should hang their head in shame when they enter this chamber!

MessageAs we already said. Jakanian workers will not be jobless but rather get retrained to work in the renewable enrgy sector where there will be plenty of jobs when this government would accept the importance of renewable energy sources.
We will not be ashamed to say that we seem to be the only party in the assembly caring for the enviornment and the Jakanian working class while the others seem to only care for the big oil corporations.
