Description[?]:
I belive that the nation's view on the Death Penalty is a ususual punishment as it gives no oppurtunity for the individual to reform himself. Though there will be many cases in which allowing prisoners to serve life sentences in a prison this will give them a chance to think about what they have done and regret it. By killing people for killing others we only achive reaching there level of barbarity. I am aware that the death penalty is used as a deterent but it should be only against the foulest humans: terrorists, those who commit treason, those who commit crimes against humanity. I appeal to this honorable assembly to limit the use of this very hideous punishment only to those that without a doubt must be dealt with in such a manner giving us no choice but to seek vengence for their crimes in the form of acting as a grim reaper. |
