My party is willing to support the HSR but we have a few questuions first:

- what will be the investments, yearly costs and earnings and what would be the fiancial share of istalia ?

- how will this project be financed ?

- what would be the financial risks ?

Thank you.

MessageMr Speaker,
to respond to the colleagues from OFF, first of all we have to consider the fact that Istalia already can boast already a well developed network of High Speed Railway spreading all over the country, thus most part of the committment for Istalia will be on the side of the adeguation of the connections with foreign lines, construction of international hub into the major stations (first of all Milona and Romula).

The initial estimates for the works goes up to around 4.2 billions of LIS in the next 5 years and the works will be financed by the State through the regular budget of the Minister of Infrastructure.

Each nation involved will provide the funds for their national trait of competence offcourse. The approval of this treaty will saw the involved nations mostly concerned in an harmonization and standardization committment of burocratic and technical affairs.

However, if one of these other nations should ask for a financial aid, Istalia will put in place the resources of the Istalian Strategic Investment Fund, https://particracy.fandom.com/wiki/Istalian_Strategic_Investment_Fund, which is well equiped due to the long lasting budgetary surplus that we can boast since many years.

About the earnings, well, it is clear that the traffic between the southern nations of Majatra will increase and this will means turists, workers, services using the high railway. The economic impact for the economic framework of the country will be consistent
But not only: a high-speed railway could be used also for fast freight services and I cannot hide the fact that there are already some corporations and investors ready to invest in this kind of service and thus the Trans Majatran High Speed Railway could become the backbone of a ground trade network connecting all south majatra.

About the financial risks, for Istalia this will be a good opportunity to improve our major high speed lines, thus, about the most pessimistic scenario, all these money will be not wasted but would be used for our own high speed infrastructure.

But at the moment we received entusiastic response from several of the involved nations, Jakania and Kalopia for example, both of them have been for long time stable democracies and the former being actually an emerging fast-growing economy. All this give us great reassurance of the goodness of the project.

I hope the data will satisfy the OOF group.

Thank you
- Nahla Al Yassin,
Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport
