| Message | Mr. Speaker, If the Republic is to honour its obligation to defend and uphold the rights of it's citizens, it ought not to endorse an official religion let alone embrace a domestic policy that is for all extensive purposes a slap in the face of religious minorities who being few in number are vunerable to prejudice and persecution from an ever dominant majority. This is not what we fought for when we embraced the republican idea and as such we are compelled to vote against this bill and should it pass we are prepare to withdraw our support for further republican endevours.
