Current: Discipline levels are set by schools.
Proposed: Teachers are forbidden from striking children and may only use non-contact discipline (detention, expulsion etc).

Message | The Citizens Party endorsed the current law a few years back as an experiment in public policy. We were eager and open to this new approach. However, we have realized its shortcomings and now believe we were wrong in this matter. We now want to bring back the older policy. |
