This bill needs a 2/3rds majority to pass (67 seats) Likatonian Bill of Rights: The Right to Dissent: The right for anyone to protest a government or non-government entity shall not be infringed, protests that turn violent are not protected under this statute, unless the violence was started by the entity that the people are protesting. The Right to Marriage: The right for anyone to marry any person(s) shall not be infringed, marriage is a sacred institution that is not mandated by the state, under this statute the government can not implement any restrictions on marriage between two (or more) consenting adults, because marriage is a civil matter do be discussed with the respective parties and Elyon (OOC: god). The Right to Religion: The right to practice any religion shall not be infringed, this statute protects people of any religion (or lack of religion) to not be forced to practice any religion, this includes separation of church and state in every establishment paid for by federal money whether fully or partially. Right to Free Speech: The right to voice your opinion shall not be infringed, this statute prevents the government or any institution that takes federal money from preventing people from voicing their opinions, this does not extend to private companies. Right to Vote: The right to vote shall not be infringed, this statute states that the government cannot deny the right to vote to anyone 18 years old or older, this includes discrimation regarding race, age, religion, gender, and sexual orientation. The Right to Run For Political Office: The right to run for a political office shall not be infringed, under this statute the government cannot deny a person and/or a party running for reasons of Ideology, Race, age (if over legal age), gender, and sexual orientation |
