Message | If we are to prevent other nations from using such weapons, we must have them ourself. That way use by any nation would constitue an "armaggedon" situation in which all nations would be destroyed. Our having nuclear weapons will bring up the plan created by Duglas McArthur in which given enough nukes, no nation would be inn their best intrest to nuke another. Thus we must at least pose the ability to respond to a nuclear war to balance our side of this equation. |
