Message | Your bill descriptor is flawed. "Instead the government encourages recycling and allows for the citizens to decide." does not equate with: "There is no national policy regarding recycled garbage." "Deregulation won't cause a free dumping ground for waste in rivers, on the roads, parks or wherever they please." - And you know this, how? The law you are introducing is: "Waste disposal is left entirely to the private sector and is unregulated." - As there is no regulation they can do with the waste whatever they please, and that would be whatever method provides them with the greatest profit. That is, afterall, the primary motivation behind operating private industry. As there is no regulation there is no way of stopping them doing whatever they want with the waste, they wouldn't, afterall, be breaking the law as their would be no laws to break. |

Random quote: "The moral justification of capitalism does not lie in the altruist claim that it represents the best way to achieve 'the common good.' It is true that capitalism does, if that catch-phrase has any meaning, but this is merely a secondary consequence. The moral justification for capitalism lies in the fact that it is the only system consonant with man's rational nature, that it protects man's survival qua man, and that its ruling principle is justice." - Ayn Rand |
