Bill: Income tax proposal of June 4798

Details

Submitted by[?]: Front de Gauche

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 4799

Description[?]:

The Front de Gauche propose to adjust the government's income tax policy to better address the economic situation of the Empire d'Aldurie (Alduria).
----------------------------

The tax reforms will cut the taxes of all individuals earning below 42,000ALD, putting more money back into the pockets of hard working families. The threshold at which income tax begins has also been raised from 7,000ALD to 10,000ALD, making sure that work pays and the lowest income earners see the biggest rises.

This has been paid for by increased taxation of high value luxury goods and by a lowering of the thresholds on taxation for higher earners

Karine Beaugendre
Minister of Finance, Empire d'Aldurie

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining.

Random quote: "Zardugal. . . very successfully almost managed to implement democracy on a global scale, a millennia ago. With a seat in the Security Council we can do it again." - Phoebe Ĥoniato, former Zardic politician
