A moderate proposal from the current abominable allowances of 3rd trimester abortions, this bill is less than I would personally want, but I think a compromise that we can all live with

MessageThis is more preferable than outright banning of abortions but we will still vote against

MessageAnd the only way to 'protect' the rights of a baby would be to ban abortion completely, so that would be against womans rights so there's not really a compromise

MessageWell a baby isn't fully built and developed until the second trimester so having an abortion in the first trimester is only removing built up tissue. Not a fully fledged baby.

MessageWell that might be true, but it is still technically a "baby" but not fully made

OOC: By the way is that true I never knew it

MessageOOC: yeah it’s kinda basic knowledge. Unless I’m getting confused with brain activity not developments of the baby.

Trimester 1: only built up tissue and slight growth
Trimester 2: Starts having brain activity and developing limbs
Trimester 3/what ever it’s called: almost fully developed (can’t have an abortion here as it’s kinda alive at this point)

MessageOOC: Even before that you are terminating a possible life, unless the mothers life is at risk, how is that okay>

MessageOOC: I knew there was something about it developing during 1st trimester, but I thought it meant that it already developed somethings like heartbeat and brain activity, and also that it was mostly developed during trimester 2 but I didn't know what exactly developed, now it makes sense that the abortion cut off is 12 weeks in lots of places

MessageOOC: Also, how is terminating, a life, or even a possible life okay?

FromThe Moderates
ToDebating the Abortion Reform Act
MessageOOC: Well I guess it is kind of about perspectives. For example someone might regard a foetus as a baby, and some people might not. If abortion is legal than it means that people can choose not to (if they thin it's a baby) or to have an baortion (if they dont).

Random fact: Parties have the ability to endorse another party's candidate for the Head of State election (if there is one). This adds a strategic element to the elections.
