| Slavery is against every human right and should be considered a crime. The Solentian Republic is a civilized nation, and will always stand up for the rights of it's citizens. If this bill is passed the following will go into effect unless the bill is overuled by another bill passed by the Solentian congress. 1. The Solentian Republic will never allow slavery. (Work by able-bodies prisiners is allowed.) 2. The Solentian Republic will never sign an agreement of any type/kind with e slave state. 3. The Solentian Republic will place a ban on all good from slave states. 4. The Solentian Republic will stop all travel by its citizens and by the citizens of any slave state, to and from the said slave state. 5. The Solentian Republic will not allow the establishment of embassies in the Solentian Republic by slave states. 6. The Solentian Republic will cut any diplomatic relations it has currently with slave states until said states are no longer deemed to be slave states. The definition of a slave state, is any state whose legislation appears as the following: The legality of slavery. Slavery and the slave trade is allowed Alternatives: o The slave trade is illegal, but slavery is legal as a punishment. o Slavery and the slave trade are illegal. OR The legality of slavery. The slave trade is illegal, but slavery is legal as a punishment. Alternatives: o Slavery and the slave trade are illegal. o Slavery and the slave trade is allowed. A state that is NOT a slave state MUST have the follwoing legislation in place: The legality of slavery. Slavery and the slave trade are illegal. Alternatives: o The slave trade is illegal, but slavery is legal as a punishment. o Slavery and the slave trade is allowed. |
