Message | The Meta-Geo Party is fiercely interested in modernizing our nation's long defunct criminal justice system, while also seeking to maintain the traditions that have served our nation well. In this regard, Articles 1 and 3 should be passed posthaste. Article 2 is a point of contention, while having armed officers in the field, especially when they are offered special protections under the law, can be a recipe for great harm, is it also particularly wise to be sending unarmed police into armed populations? Article 4 is almost completely unacceptable in its current form. Mandatory jury duty is a disaster: pooling together disinterested folks, taking them away from their jobs or families, compensating them maybe, but only with the underhanded understanding that failing to cooperate is a crime. This is indentured servitude at best and slavery at worst! |

Message | Please forgive our party for the hastiness of drafting this bill. We did not consult the law regarding 'firearm ownership of citizens' which was incredidly ignorant and I wish that the Meta-Geo Party understands that our intention was not to put our brave police men/women in danger. Since our parties can both agree that article 1 & 3 should be 'passed post-haste', we have removed article 2 & 4 from the bill so that we can pass this paramount piece of legislation. If there are any other articles the Meta-Geo Party would like to add, please state as such and the Social Democrats will be willing to discuss it. |

Message | It is part of the Meta-Geo Party's platform to call for the end of the death penalty in ALL cases, however the Political & Criminal Justice Reform Bill is acceptable under the formulation. |

Message | The Social Democratic Party is split on the legislation regarding the death penalty. However, our party members agree that this is not a particulary important part of our platform which is why it was not included in the original proposed bill. In the most recent general election, the majority of people voted for the party which they believed could best take this nation forward. In light of these results, we believe that it is our constitutional duty to fulfill what Voronians desire and as a result, we are willing to concede this issue and add a ban on the death penalty in all cases if thats what the majority party wishes. We thank the Meta-Geo Party's co-operation on the drafting of the 'Political & Criminal Justice Reform' Bill. It will now be put onto the floor of the General National Council for voting. |

Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI). |
Random quote: "Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man gainst his own bosom. Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American...[T]he unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people." - Tenche Coxe |
