Message | What needs to be understood is that this bill does not mandate introducing population reduction controls. Instead, this bill allows the regions to decide whether they wish to encourage population increase, or place limits on the population, or take no action at all. As it stands, the national government has no stance on this issue. However, certain regions may wish to increase their population in order to increase workforce and the like, and others, over-populated regions, may wish to control growth. If they do not, this law provides that if in future measures will be necessary then they may be introduced. |

Message | Wether you want more people or less, toying with population control is not a smart thing to do. Or a fair one. |

Message | That is simply not true. Every nation does it to some extent, through providing contraception, child tax credit, child benefit to encourage population growth. Or population controls such as the one child policy, taxing over x number of children etc. This bill allows our regional governments to form policies on it. The DLP does not understand how it is /unfair/ or NOT smart. It may be essential for the survival of Jelbania. The Conservative Party is arguing with no basis or foundation. |

Message | Actually, I think child benefits are more because children cost a lot of money. Child benefits are already in place, so I do not think they count as population control anyway. |

Message | After reading both arguments and doing personal research, the bbp is going to have to oppose. either side convinced us totally, but we feel personally that our population is currently stable and should not be touched at the moment. that we will vote in support of this bill in the future when our population indeed grows(which it will by facts). so for now we will oppose but when it raises again (in the far future) we will support it. |

Message | The DLP believes the other parties do not understand this bill at all. It does not recommend population control in any way. It merely delegates this power to regional governments. They know best the needs of their individual regional populations. Conservative Party, you misunderstand. If a government wishes to increase their nations population, they might increase child benefit allowance, thereby making it cheaper for people to have children. This will encourage more children, increasing the population over a long time. |

Message | I think you misunderstand this bill. We already have child benifits in place; that is a separate issue. What this talks about is population CONTROL. Controling the population, not simply recomending domething or giving benifits. That is not what I see as democracy. |
