Message | If the presiding officer has to act in a nonpartisan manner, then we as a nation can never achieve progress and as a result: we can never achieve full socialism. |
Date | 23:08:30, October 28, 2020 CET | From | Farming and Labor Alliance (FLA) | To | Debating the Cabinet Reforms |
Message | That's a silly argument - all the presiding officer does is manage the procedural business of the Congress in an orderly way in accordance with the standing rules and parliamentary authority agreed upon by all members. Democracy depends on applying these rules in a fair way - as such, it is best that the presiding officer be as neutral as possible. |
Date | 01:09:36, October 29, 2020 CET | From | Democratic Socialist Party (DSP) | To | Debating the Cabinet Reforms |
Message | Wrong, the presiding officer should not remain neutral. This allows the platforming and advancement of dangerous and stagnant ideologies. The presiding officer should promote and prop up members who advocate for progress and equality and silence members who advocate anti-egalitarian ideas like our very own Conservative party. While I agree that hearing out members of differing platforms is key to a democracy, pure impartiality only seeks to validate terrible ideologies as part of some "marketplace of ideas". |

Message | Oh? Are democratic socialists against ideas now? Well, at least they admit it! |
Date | 19:12:16, October 29, 2020 CET | From | Democratic Socialist Party (DSP) | To | Debating the Cabinet Reforms |
Message | I am against regressive ideologies that slow the development of progress and equality. If fascists were present in our parliament, would you seriously want to hear them out, |
Date | 22:59:49, October 29, 2020 CET | From | Conservative Party of Baltusia (CPB) | To | Debating the Cabinet Reforms |
Message | The Socialists are now in favor of silencing anyone who opposes them. This development is one of the most disturbing actions in recent history. The Conservative Party opposes any kind of speech code in Congress. We stand for freedom of speech all the way. Baltusians, we are the party of Jobs, Safety, and Security, but the DSP doesn't want you the hear that. This goes beyond almost anything put out by any other party in the last 20 years. |
Date | 23:32:17, October 29, 2020 CET | From | Democratic Socialist Party (DSP) | To | Debating the Cabinet Reforms |
Message | The Democratic Socialist Party of Baltusia refuses to compromise in its pursuit of absolute social and economic equality for all Baltusians. If that means "silencing" the backward ideologies of the Conservative Party, then so be it. |
Date | 02:12:20, October 30, 2020 CET | From | Farming and Labor Alliance (FLA) | To | Debating the Cabinet Reforms |
Message | While the so-called "Democratic Socialist Party" continues to get mired in silly semantic arguments over procedural aspects of a legislative officer that has little power in reality, the Farming and Labor alliance continues to push policies that advance the well being of the Baltusian worker through the strengthening of workplace democracy and investment in clean energy infrastructure. Just in the past few years, we have fought for a more equitable education system, increased regulations corporate profit sharing, and a progressive tax structure that demands that the wealthy pay their fair share. These petty squabbles are an embarrassment to leftism and must be brought to an end. |

Message | "I am against regressive ideologies that slow the development of progress and equality. If fascists were present in our parliament, would you seriously want to hear them out," If fascists were present in our parliament, that means people elected them, so yes, I would want to know the concerns of the population that they represent, to feel the need to elect fascists into our government. |
Date | 16:01:26, October 30, 2020 CET | From | Conservative Party of Baltusia (CPB) | To | Debating the Cabinet Reforms |
Message | It is impossible to argue with the deranged socialists, and we are glad their party is gone. |
