MessagePositive discrimination is an oxymoron. There is no history of discrimination in Likatonia, so what you're proposing is not fair and equal but actual discrimination put in place for no reason.

MessageThe reality is that Likatonia was once a nation led by slaveholders, a nation where women did not possess the right to vote, and is, to this day, a nation where immigrants (legal or illegal) are actively persecuted and thrown out. Whether we like to admit it or not, discrimination exists, both in our conscious and subconscious mind, and we must work towards ending it. Hiring policies are one of the many ways in which we can fight it to make sure that all citizens get equal and fair opportunities.

Positive discrimination is not discrimination at its core, it's the opposite because in order to make the law truly equal for all citizens the law must recognize the natural differences between sexes, races, and ethnic groups in order to create legislation that props up those disenfranchised collectives and create true equality.

MessageWhatever you need to say in order to justify discrimination, if the DSP wish to judge people by the colour of their skin then so be it.

Random fact: In order for a Cabinet bill to pass, more than half of the legislature must vote for it and all of the parties included in the proposed Cabinet must support it. If your nation has a Head of State who is also the Head of Government, then the party controlling this character must also vote for the bill, since the Head of Government is also a member of the Cabinet. If any of these requirements are not met, the bill will not pass.
