Description[?]:
In a democracy, it is sickening to think that some large sections of our population are not accounted for. The government has no accountability to those who cannot vote, so it the duty of all democracies to make this voting bloc as large as is possible. Criminals and youth have no voice in how they are governed, this must change if we are to consider ourselves a true democracy. |

Message | We are a Republic RYEP, not a democracy. A democracy is where the majority rules over the minority and people that are not in the 51% of that majority have no say in the government. I support Article 2, but I will not support Article 1, a murderer surrenders his right to vote the moment he murdered someone. |
Date | 21:14:51, December 30, 2020 CET | From | Royal Credit Party (RCP) | To | Debating the 4867 Voting Bill |
Message | In an attempt to govern and compromise in good faith, the RYEP must accept that fundamental differences in how the populace values the right of everyone to be politically active. The bill will be rectified to reflect this, but it is our firm stance that it is imperative in any state attempting to represent its citizens that petty criminals are not excluded from this representation. The FNP very well might be correct in its stance to exclude those far-gone enough to murder from political life. |
