MessageBecause chewing tobacco is still legal. Our laws, currently, stop individuals from harming other people without removing the choice from the individual of harming themselves by ingesting differing forms of drug (tobacco included).

MessageIn a perfect world the Union Party would support this ban, as one of our few restrictive stands is against drug use. But as more dangerous drugs are still open and legal for all, we must vote against this in protest of the status quo for the substances that are a greater threat to our democracy than tobacco.
