MessageUtter nonsense! The make-believe of people is no excuse for their duty to contribute to national collection efforts. A neutral position is not to ignore their financial activity but to be indistinguishable from that of the non-believer. This bill has failed in the past and for a good reason, the people of Baltusia do not wish to be treated differently based on their religion, or more importantly, lack thereof.

MessageDo you have to pay taxes for your Religion Dr. Hopkins? Your hatred for people who do not worship your god of non-belief is disturbing and the exact reason why Religions should not have to pay taxes, because at any moment under a government like your’s the state can use taxes to stomp out opposing religious beliefs. People should not have to pay taxes because they believe in a different God then you.

MessageMy personal beliefs are non of your concerns, David. I would hope you remember that. Taxation is not oppression. It's collaboration. We are not arguing about introducing new taxes on believers, which we would oppose. We are arguing about lifting away financial responsibilities simply for the personal beliefs of those involved.

We will not stand for that.

MessageI don’t believe for one second that this is about financial responsibilities to you Dr. Hopkins. You like many people before you claim that you are for fairness, but you are not for equality between citizens. Does a atheist have to pay taxes for his beliefs? You don’t support the taxation of people for their religious beliefs because you think it’s a fair thing to do. No you support it simply because you see the taxation of Religion as a tool to create a atheistic authoritarian system. Many groups have claimed that secularism is for equality then used it to oppress religious people, how are you any different? Do you want a impartial government? Or a secular society? A secular society is a society without morality. Is that what you want?
