| The SE group's executive has decided it is time to discuss the creation of an Istalian Republic in the National Assembly. Two possibilities have been proposed and if one passes the SE would collaborate with other parties to modify the constitution in order to create a republic. With the proposal of a Presidential Republic, the Representative of the emperor will become a "President of the Istalian Republic" and therefore the monarchy will have no political power or recognisation. The President is required to be impartial but can be affiliated with a political party. The President is elected by istalian electors every 4 years and the election is held the same day as the election for the National Assembly. |
