Bill: protecting the economy

Details

Submitted by[?]: National Thomasian Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2221

Description[?]:

At the present time trade union leaders can force a strike with the support of the members possibly causing detrimental effect to industry and the economy. There is a serious threat that corrupt union leaders, in league with rival business leaders or organised crime, can force workers to strike wihtout their consent through heavy handed tactics. To ensure that all unions respect their members wishes we propose that unions must hold a ballot of the membership before calling a strike.
