Details
Submitted by[?]: The Peoples’ Communist Party
Status[?]: passed

Voting deadline: April 4893
Description[?]:
Colleagues, As this elected government is taking the necessary steps in order to move our nation and its’ people into the future, the energy sector has yet to be discussed. With this legislation, the lack of conversation on the topic of energy ends. This legislation will give our local governments the freedom to research and develop ways to implement nuclear energy into our power banks. We, and our colleagues in the Workers’ Party, believe that now is the time to begin the transition into a powerful and everlasting energy source. Working with and using nuclear power does come with risks, as does any energy source. These risks, however, will not go unnoticed. In terms of potential spills or radioactivity, nuclear engineers and scientists will be working closely with our local government officials in developing a plan to identify where the waste, if any, will be stored. With the guidance and assistance of our engineers and scientists, we will ensure that any potential radioactivity will be protected from our citizens, our water and food supplies, and our environment as a whole. With the development of this technology at the hands of our local governments, we will be able to determine if there is a potential to nationalize nuclear energy. If any officials choose to decline this nuclear energy project, their decision will be understood and accepted. They will not be forced to make any decision regarding this matter, whether it be now or in the future. Although the federal government will have somewhat of a hand in the research and development of nuclear power, we must also come to the realization that our local governments exist as a filter down to the people of our nation. Local officials tend to relate and understand the heartfelt issues and concerns of our citizens a bit more than we do as members of the Imperial Diet. Their input on matters such as this is crucial in our nations’ overall progress, and has been for as long as our nations’ history has been recorded. We hope that you will join us in supporting this measure, as we take the necessary steps towards renewable energy sources. The future is near, colleagues. We must accept this reality, and welcome it with open arms. Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI). |
