Bill: Sex Worker's Rights Act 4910
Details
Submitted by[?]: Coalition of Workers
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 4912
Description[?]:
Proposal for the Sex Worker's Rights Act 4910 In addition to these law changes we have proposed, we would like to clarify them. Article 1. All sexually explicit material is allowed on television, allowing all sex workers a fair employment. The current policy of banning violent or hard core pornography is unfair to these workers, they should have the same rights to appear on television, as anyone else. In addition to article 1, we would like to propose an addition to the KRTVN television with Channel 13, which would be for adult entertainment to reduce their screen time on channels which children might also watch. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The government's policy regarding sexually explicit material on broadcast television.
Old value:: Sexually explicit material is allowed, but violent or hard core pornography is banned.
Current: Sexually explicit material is not allowed, but nudity that is not sexually explicit is.
Proposed: All sexually explicit material is allowed on television.

Message | We would like to hear any input from the SPoK before moving this to vote. Any objections or changes you would like to see in this Act? |
Date | 22:42:41, March 23, 2021 CET | From | Socialist Party of Kalistan (SPoK) | To | Debating the Sex Worker's Rights Act 4910 |
Message | We will oppose this simply because we do not believe it is the job of the government to tell people what they can and cannot watch in their homes. The Ombudsman is in charge of the content of the television stations, in coordination with the Station management as per the the charter for the Kalistani Radio Television Network. We understand the sentiment, but it is not the role of the Government, in our estimation to control of censor content on television. |

Message | We would, on the other hand support the creation of and explicitly adult content channel, with a strong encouragement to the Ombusdman staff to program the adult content there. |
