Bill: DI-017: Legislative Naming Standards Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Drania Cívica 🏴 시민당

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 4912

Description[?]:

The Legislative Naming Standards Act of 4911 establishes a standard practice for the titling of all legislation in the Federal Senate. This act shall replace the Legislative Naming Standards Act of 4753 (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=623420).

All legislation should start with a political party acronym of no more than four characters that identifies the political party sponsoring the legislation. This acronym is then followed by a dash, the current year, a dash, and then a two-digit number that signifies the sequential number of bills the political party has put to the floor of the Federal Senate in the current calendar year.

This legislation identifier may be followed by a colon and a descriptive name for the legislation.

EXAMPLE:
Example Party (EXP), first proposal in the Federal Senate during the year 4911 = EXP-4911-01
Example Party (EXP), second proposal in the Federal Senate during the year 4911 = EXP-4911-02

Non-legislative activity, such as executive orders or cabinet directives, will have unique acronyms that may not be used by any political party:
Federal Chairman = FCH
Premier = FPM
Cabinet Minister = FMIN
Supreme Court = FSC

Naming convention for non-legislative activity is the official acronym followed by a dash, the current year, and the sequential number of orders/directives/etc. from that position within the current calendar year.

EXAMPLE:
Executive order from the Premier in the year 4911 = FPM-4911-01
