| This is the first phase of a military reform for the United Confederate Armed Forces, to bring it to a modern standard and into an effective fighting force to defend the Confederacy. Phase one will be focused on the navy, which we believe as an seafaring country, is vital for our survival and functionality. The Naval Reform will be done over several steps over many years and if all goes to plan should be completed in 15 to 20 years. Part 1: Organisation of the Navy and Coast Guard, Firstly the size of the navy and it's current organisation will be changed. The current fleet cannot adequately defend our territorial waters and we therefore call for an expansion. We also propose the creation of a militarised coast guard which would serve as an auxiliary force to the Navy. The Navy: We propose that the navy be organised into 4 surface fleets, one of which will be a carrier group, as well as two submarine taskforces. 1st Fleet, 2nd Fleet, 3rd Fleet, 4th Fleet, 1st Submarine Taskforce, 2nd Submarine Taskforce, The Navy will also now have a marine corps to aid it's operations overseas. Two divisions will comprise the Marine Corps, 1st Marine Division 2nd Marine Division Manpower, 50,000 sailors and 10,000 Marine Corps active, 50,000 sailors and 5,000 Marine Corps reserve The Coast Guard: The Coast Guard will be split into two districts, Narikaton and Darnussia respectively. The Narikaton District, The Darnussian District, Manpower, 18,000 sailors active, 10,000 reserve Part 2: Composition and Battle Order of Navy and Coast Guard, The Navy, 1st Fleet: 1 Aircraft Carrier, 6 Destroyers, 10 Frigates, 6 Corvettes, 2 Landing Docks. 2nd Fleet: 12 Destroyers, 14 Frigates, 8 Corvettes, 2 Minesweepers 3rd Fleet: 12 Destroyers, 12 Frigates, 9 Corvettes, 2 Minesweepers. 4th Fleet: 6 Destroyers, 6 Frigates, 10 Corvettes, 8 OPVs 1st Submarine Taskforce: 5 Submarines 2nd Submarine Taskforce: 5 Submarines The Coast Guard, The Narikaton District: 20 Cutters, 30 Patrol Boats, 30 boats The Darnussian District: 10 Cutters, 10 Patrol Boats, 20 Boats The reform will be carried out in the following steps, Step 1: Form the Coast Guard and begin the purchase for their equipment. Also purchase an aircraft carrier and start looking for new ships types for the navy. Step 2: Organise the navy into it's new fleets and begin the purchase of ship types selected for the navy and continue to purchase ships and equipment for the coast guard. Step 3: Continue purchase and building of the ships needed and begin a recruitment campaign. |
