Bill: AT-4921-01: Averting Constitutional Crisis

Details

Submitted by[?]: Drania Cívica 🏴 시민당

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill requests an early election. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline. Elections will be held immediately if the bill passes.

Voting deadline: January 4922

Description[?]:

The Chairman of the Federal Council for Unity, Yoon Hyeok-Jin, has resigned from his position. Now Jeon Woo-Bin serves as the Acting Chairman until a new person is elected in the next national election. It is apparent that the selection of Jeon was more so on the basis of internal deliberations of the Kyo Communist Party (KCP) rather than a proper meeting of the Federal Council for Unity.

It is increasingly obvious that the KCP has little regard for the political neutrality of the Federal Council as just about every government institution has become a tool for the implementation of a communist agenda.

Equally concerning is the emergence of a seemingly independent political system, organized around the KCP's so-called "Second Extraordinary Congress." Clearly unsatisfied with the constraints of the Constitution of the Dranian Federation, they have established their own legislature, absent of anti-communist dissent.

The communists have no interest in democracy and they have no respect for this nation.

Does the Kyo Communist Party wish to represent citizens of the Dranian Federation or do they wish to create their own system of government, absent of any semblance of pluralism or authentic democracy.

Between the communist congress and the political maneuvering in the Federal Council, it is apparent they want the latter. This is a betrayal of the Federation, it is unconstitutional, and it holds no legitimacy.

MessageThe Congress of the KCP has been consistently held to elect new leadership roles to the Party; it is explicitly inter-party with no bearings on policy implemented, but rather party goals and directives for office holders who have been elected democratically by their constituents. Our party structure; which federal nor local law is not mandated to regulate, runs on the principles of democratic centralism, and our party votes in the Senate and makes policies accordingly. By this logic; any political inter-party deliberation inside Ecoco or the Taegeuk Alliance is a crime against the Federation; as your parties are choosing their internal members and policy goals. Senator Yun was elected inside his own party during a meeting just as the results of the 2nd Congress will announce Communist leaders; it is an absolute hypocrisy to bombard the very institution one upholds.

Be very glad that the KCP is as tolerant of the liberal democratic framework as it is now. We have not violated any domestic laws on the matter; nor have we usurped Senatorial powers.

The Rowi system is by far more representative than the Capitalist dictatorship ever will be. Workers and peasants are finally free to choose what they do with machinery, land, and technology in contrast to the bleak wage slavery of the past.

The Constitution furthermore has no proceedings for impeachment or removal from office. If you want an amendment; write it in.

This is a liberal democracy; if you want to change how we're running the country, do better next election. If you win, we'll gladly concede. Until then, you must not talk nonsense. Your call for elections will be referred to the 2nd Congress, and we will vote on this bill in due time.

(OOC: No hard feelings irl right?)
