Bill: Next Cabinet Negotiations

Details

Submitted by[?]: National Movement

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 4932

Description[?]:

Following the election, right-wing parties won a majority of seats again. Here, we are sending our proposals and requests for the next government. We hope to have a discussion with our partners.

-We would like to have the same cabinet (LWP-NM) with the supply and confidence of the NCP and CPL (Country Party).
-We are willing to give one ministry to the LWP since they won 4 seats.

We want to re-nationalize healthcare in order to participate in the next government. This is our only request.

The government program we propose:

-The presiding officer of the national legislature is the leader of the majority party/coalition or largest party/coalition.
-Prisoners of war may be mistreated without legal sanction.
-Only government-run trade unions exist and membership in them is voluntary.
-All judgements are final and binding; appealing against them is not possible.
-Remove the 58 % tax bracket.
-The police may arrest citizens for any reason.
-The police can search a person or their property without restrictions.
-There are laws against the publication of false information, hate speech, and subversive anti-government material.
-Only male partners may initiate a divorce.
-Interracial marriages are not recognised by the government.
-The police may disperse a group without giving any reason.
-The government may seize private property for vital government works.
-There is an official state religion, and membership is mandatory.
-Government owned amenities are not segregated, private organisations are free to choose.

MessageMr Speaker,
"-There are laws against the publication of false information, hate speech, and subversive anti-government material."
"-The police may arrest citizens for any reason."
And
"-There is an official state religion, and membership is mandatory."
Are too much for the Country Party to support, we simply cannot see the restriction of free speech through laws against the publication of anti-government material and the allowance of the police to just arrest anyone in the defence of our democracy, and while we do believe a state religion is a good idea, however mandatory membership is too far.

MessageMr. Speaker,
We are willing to drop the last two pieces of legislation you mentionned and add a federalist law that the CPL can choose.

MessageMr Speaker,
Our voters are scared about all 3 pieces of legislation, seeing as it violates their freedom to express their distaste for the government.

Either you can drop all 3 and we will support this government, or you can pass 2 pieces of Country legislation in return for the support of your legislation.

MessageMr. Montgomery,

We need to know which pieces of Country legislation you are talking about. What are these policies, exactly?
