Message | Mr Speaker This budget put forth by the LCU-FDP coalition is needed as we denationalise parts of the economy. This budget reflects the higher participation of the Private Sector in the economy. The decreases reflect only on the Private Sector’s take over of the relevant parts of the economy. We implore all to support this fair budget as we also cut taxes for all. Dr Eliza Austin Minister for Finance |

Message | Mr speaker We can not support this bill at all unless you change the department of justice funding. Its despicable that you think that cutting the budget by 30% is at all good. Its funny at how injustice this is since this cut is coming from the justice department. What an absolute scandal this new coalition has started. By having a poorly funded justice system will cause a back log in the courts. We would like this changed. Preferably we would like to see a 0.5% cut like all of the other departments. Message | Mr Speaker, The reason as to why the Justice Department has the largest change in Budget is due to our Governments policy on Drug Reforms, we have effectively reduced the role of our Federal Police and other agencies in policing around drugs. Furthermore, We have moved such governance of recreational drugs to Local Governments who raise their own monies and will be responsible for such Laws. This Government does concede that the Justice cut may seem drastic, however we believe it reflects the decriminalisation program we are undertaking to return freedoms to our People. These budget revisions were undertaken with consultation of the Justice Department who believe our criminal law reforms will dramatically decrease the cost of running the department, however we will undertake a broad review of the effects of the budget within 3 months of the bill passing. Margaret Edwards MP Prime Minister of Rutania and Leader of the Liberal Conservative Union (OOC: I will propose another budget after this one is passed, It was an honest mistake on my end, I didn't mean to write 2,8. However I still believe that drug law reforms and other reforms would dramatically decrease the cost of a Justice department anyway so I will increase the wont be as big as the SDRP may like, I think this is better for roleplay anyway). |
