This Bill hereby allows non-governmental schools, including charter schools and religious schools, to acquire exemptions from the national curriculum with the approval of the Ministry of Education and Culture. However, schools cannot be exempted from teaching sexual education at the point of puberty and schools seeking renewed exemptions must submit in reports to the Ministry providing proof, through standardized test scores, that students at exempted schools are at grade level relative to their non-exempted peers in the same District. |
