| Message | GSM position on these proposals: 1. Allowing governments more time to serve rather than never ending election cycles is a very positive move. SUPPORT 2. We have concerns about the impact of this change on smaller parties, but are willing to support this change if you accept our proposal on Article 3. 3. We support the direction of movement but are concerned about the scale of this change. We would support an initial, more moderate reduction to 40. This can be revisited in the future as our country’s democracy develops! 4. Again, we support the direction but have concerns about the scale. We are willing to support this reduction if you accept our proposal re Article 3 though. |
