Description[?]:

In accordance with section 6 of the Game Rules (http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6363#p90598), Egelion is a "culturally protected" nation. Below is the cultural protocol which all players in the nation must abide. Throughout the document, the real-life equivalent is shown in brackets next to the in-game name.

--OVERVIEW--

Egelion is dominated by the Egelian people, who speak the Egelian language. Related to them, though with a distinct regional identity and dialect are the Caillean people, who are concentrated in the Caille region. Both are primarily members of the Aurorian Patriarchal Church. In addition, there are several smaller minority communities.

--ETHNICITY--

» Egelian (Spanish)- 78%
» Caillean (Catalan)- 14%
» Ghadrashi (Hungarian)- 5%
» Other- 3%

Party and people names should be in Spanish, with a few exceptions being Hungarian or Catalan.

--RELIGION--

» Aurorian Patriarchal Church (Catholicism)- 82%
» Bishopal Church of Egelion (Episcopal/Ultrajectine Old Catholic)- 1%
» No religion- 13%
» Other- 4%

--LANGUAGE--

The official language and the language spoken by almost all citizens in Egelion is Egelian (Spanish). Many Caillean people also speak the Caillean (Catalan) language, which has a special status in the region. Many Ghadrashi people also speak the Ghadrashi (Hungarian) language, which has a special status in the region (Yadraz/Ghadrash). Some minority communities also continue to speak in their own native languages.

Random fact: In general, role-play requires the consent of all players.

Random quote: "John Burroughs has stated that experimental study of animals in captivity is absolutely useless. Their character, their habits, their appetites undergo a complete transformation when torn from their soil in field and forest. With human nature caged in a narrow space, whipped daily into submission, how can we speak of its potentialities?" - Emma Goldman
