Description[?]:

We propose to allow prisoners to work for small wages, so that they may become accustomed to 'work life' and financial savvy when they are released. Also, already having some savings just out of prison would help to lessen their need to re-enter a life of crime for money, It also develops work ethic and prison time could be used not only as a roadblock to employment but as a showing of employment experience.

Finally, governments (federal or local) can become more self sufficient by producing their own licence plates and traffic ticket books, maintaining their own grounds and vehicles, cleaning the own prison uniforms, and whatever else we can figure out.

This system would benefit everyone from government, prisoner, and civilian levels, and we believe the benefits of this program outweigh any concerns over 'rewarding the criminal'.
