Bill: Freedom of action
Details
Submitted by[?]: Zuma for Likatonia Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 2227
Description[?]:
Upon reviewing the legislation of our great country, we have become aware of some large holes in the areas of personal freedom. 1. A marriage is a marriage. If a couple choose to get married, is that really a union that the state should have jurisdiction over? Why should we deny a status of married just because some country has a slightly different definition of it? 2. Why should an individual who has received poor service from a doctor not be entitled to sue that practicioner and allow the outcome of the allegation to be decided by the courts? This limitation of personal recourse should be immediately addressed! Almost any other profession is able to be held accountable by courts if they give below par service, why should this principle NOT be extended to healthcare ? 3. All workers have a right to withdraw they only thing they have to sell - their labour. Just as any shopkeeper has the right not to serve you, every individual worker has the right to seek better condititions through whatever means they can use. |
