MessageWe the AKP/PGA ask for the reasons these changes.

MessageWe believe requiring cabinet members to be elected members of parliament enables a more democratic mode of government. Furthermore, we see the current size of the legislature as unnecessarily high.

We wish to restore Sildar Urbem as the rightful, historical capital of Aloria.

MessageThe reason the parliament size this size or at least at the odd number to ensure the is never a situation where there is no majority as one party will always outnumber the other so we reject the the proposed change.

As for the moving the capital back, why are the liberals so dead set on this, Sildar Urbem wasn't always the capital and as a matter of fact, Ultran Stadt was the capital before and for a longer time, so if using the historical argument then it shouldn't be moved back. It was moved for convenience as the King resides in Ultran Stadt.

What is the point of Article 1?

MessageThe reasoning for Article 1 is we think making cabinet members be members of parliament will lead to a more democratic mode of government.

Sildar Urbem was the capital for over 300 years before the AKP legislated to move it to Ultran Stadt. To the Alorian people, Sildar Urbem will always be seen as the capital of Aloria.

We have taken the AKP's arguments on board and we will amend the bill so that the number of seats is reduced to 651.

MessageWe thank the Liberals for taking our point on board and greatly appreciate it.

Would it not interfere with a minister's job if they have to also participate in Parliament?

As for the Capital Situation, Aloria is a country with thousands of years of history, therefore this argument of the capital in the last 300 years doesn't mean much because where was the capital before that was Port Freiheit. Why aren't we moving the capital to Port Freiheit if history is what matters here. The capital city was moved, because probably for functionality. Before Port Freiheit it was Strom in Ultran, before that Ultran Stadt and before that Craigtref. It is clear from these changes that Aloria changes it's capital because of history but because where it best suits. In an article the Liberal Party accused us of "ripping up Aloria's history for the benefit of their vanity project", we are starting to think the Liberals are too focused on the past to realise that often times change is needed to progress and improve this country and that keeping the capital here where the Federal Council has yet to find chambers to meet, is in fact to burrow a term from by fellow colleagues the Liberals own vanity project. Rather than deal with the economic situation or the Majatran Crisis, they sit here arguing over where this parliament should meet.

MessageFor every single living Alorian, the capital of Aloria to them is Sildar Urbem and has been for generations. There was no rational reason for the capital to be moved to Ultran Stadt and it will not lead to progress. We firmly stand by our decision.

MessageIt is becoming clear to the AKP/PGA that Liberal party is so dead set on it's goal that it refuses to see why the capital was moved and instead is going to push through it's agenda. Did the party even listen to the arguments made cause I can repeat them if need be.

MessageWe did listen and we have explained our reasons for the move. The AKP/PGA seem to forget that it is the Liberal Party that is in government was democratically-elected.

And now the AKP/PGA claim that we did not allow debate to be held! This is an outright lie. We DID debate this bill, we listened to the concerns of the AKP/PGA and we even amended it following some debate. It is the AKP/PGA that are hurting the democratic process by spreading untruth.

We deliver on the people's priorities whilst they dither. Thankfully, we have the Alorian people on our side!

Glynn Thomas
Prime Minister of Aloria

*Cheers from the Liberal Party benches*

MessagePeople have a right to protest and this is a right we will always protect. However, the AKP/PGA is misrepresenting the mood of the nation. The Alorian people gave the Liberal Party a large majority and a mandate to govern this nation by implementing the policies we promised to. We are on the people's side.

Now, let's continue to serve the people of this country by passing this bill!

Random fact: Parties have the ability to endorse another party's candidate for the Head of State election (if there is one). This adds a strategic element to the elections.
